Have no experience with triggers, although I *thought* I remembered seeing/hearing that newer OS/400 versions supported "read" triggers - I'll leave that to more experienced listers. However, I wonder why you don't just update the old customer master file en masse, a one-time fix to replace the old customer master's address with the one found in the new file, since this is basically what you're doing, albeit one record at a time.
