As a follow up to a column I wrote about AS/400-iSeries advertising,
I thought it would be a good idea to write about real "strange-but-true"
success stories.
I was part of a US Government contract that had a requirement that
the system either survive a fall from 100 feet, or be repaired and operating
within 3 hours of the fall. As a result, we dropped one from a 10 story
building. It was up and running in 2 hours.
I have also talked to someone who had a system submerged in water for 7
hours. They blow-dried it with a hair dryer and turned it on. Worked like
the champion that it is.
If you have a similar story, please e-mail me directly and I will
attempt to include a few in my next column. Please let me know if it's
acceptable to publish your name in your e-mail.

Many thanks to all who respond, and to David for allowing this tasteless,
tacky and trashy solicitation, and apologies who get this on more than one
list.
