ow about using RUNRMTCMD instead? I don't think the Remote Command service is for STRPCCMD, it's for RUNRMTCMD.

My issue is that the command doesn't execute in the STRPCCMD. The STRPCO is
fine (I ignore the already active).

This works for me:

STRPCO PCTA(*NO)
MONMSG IWS4010 /* THIS SUPPRESSES STRPCO ALREADY ACTIVE MESSAGES */
STRPCCMD PCCMD('NOTEPAD') PAUSE(*NO)

Is yours similar?

Subject: STRPCCMD and PCO.EXE not active

I am trying to launch a PC command from a green screen session (right now I would even settle for getting notepad.exe working) and I keep getting the PCO.EXE not active window.

PC Side:
Started the Client Access Express Remote Command service.

iSeries Side:
       STRPCO
       STRPCCMD NOTEPAD.EXE

I then get the window stating PCO.EXE is not active

I used to be able to do this, but it has been awhile. I recently installed
the Websphere Developers Studio Client for iSeries(version 5.0) and I am
wondering if I am simply forgetting another step or if WDSc might be
stepping on something. We are running v5r1 and v5r2 on our iSeries boxes. I
have searched the archives, but I believe I have accounted for all the
steps. Any ideas??
