Hi Chuck.

You don't want the iSeries doing any conversion -- so you want binary.  Some

ftp clients will attempt to guess the file type and set the mode for you.
To 
do it manually, simply type "bin" at the ftp> prompt, then "put" the program

from the source to the iSeries.    On the target PCs type "bin" before 
"get"ting the file.  That will do what you want.
