IBM 6400i printer - how to print bar codes from internally-descri bed printer file

I have an IPDS printer and an old RPG program with an internally-described
printer file (O-specs).

Can I print bar codes using certain escape codes in the O-specs?

Is there a program that converts O-specs to an externally-described printer
file?

Can I make use of the IPDS firmware or the IGP firmware or the Magnum-V
firmware on the printer to accomplish this?
