(If the userid/password you are logged into on the PC doesn;t match an 
iSeries userid/password then NetServer must be configured to allow a Guest 
profile - set up a guest profile with basically all authority restricted 
and initial program of *SIGNOFF).
Then drill down to /QIBM/ProdData/CA400/Express/Install/Image   and run 
setup.exe

I thought this could be done (I am at V5R2) so I wouldn't have to carry
the CD around but I've searched archive/IBM and can't find anything.
Did I dream this?
