Guys, Try a piece of free software called Bigfix, goes off and checks MS's site for updates, and lets you download them without having to search around ms's site. So every week I visit the windows update site and download all the w2k updates. So far I have not been burned by any faulty updates. I have a theory that if you religously apply the updates and dont open attachments, then you cant be hacked and dont need a firewall. I hope someone else can prove if that is wrong or not. -Steve -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Carl Galgano Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 5:53 AM To: Midrange List Subject: New M$ vulnerability patch for Windows I know this is not directly related to the iSeries, but be aware that M$ has released yet another security patch for windows. As far as I know, there are no viruses that exploit this vulnerability..... Yet. cjg _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
