Hi Pedro,

If you create the index it needs over SYSCOLUMNS (or over the files that
syscolumns uses), it will not need to do this. If you can't figure out what
the key is etc, run the database monitor and it should tell you,
Hope this helps,

Clare

Subject: IDX-SYSCOLUMNS to long

Hi,

When i start ODBC from lotus notes to as400, a job QZDASOINIT run in sbs
qusrwrk with the user quser,
normally this process takes 1 or 2 minutes (re index syscolumns), know it
take 30-40 mn , this appens since the change of our os400 version (v4r5
-> V5r1) two weeks ago...

I have see that syscolumns pointed to another lib. that he used to, before
syscolumns pointed to BIBSQL lib. now he's pointing to QSYS2 lib.

we did a reclaime storage before the new version, is it related to it ?
any idea?
