Jim, Thanks, I will look for the CPC1126 message I don't think someone is manually ending it because this job is run numerous time throughout the day and it always ends this was. There must be something ending it with ENDJOB. -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+jallen=drvtech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+jallen=drvtech.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jim Damato Sent: Friday, August 22, 2003 2:34 PM To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' Subject: RE: Why is joblog no complete? When a job ends abnormally it gets an end code of 30. When you issue an ENDJOB, or option 4 for an active job from any of the WRK with JOB screens you'll see an end code of 50. I can't imagine what else would cause an end code of 50. You should look for a CPC1126 message in the same time frame to show you if another job ended this job. -Jim -----Original Message----- From: John Allen [mailto:jallen@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2003 12:24 PM To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' Subject: RE: Why is joblog no complete? Jim, Sorry about the delay in getting back to this, I took some days of :) I found the entry in the log Message ID . . . . . . : CPF1164 Severity . . . . . . . : 00 Message type . . . . . : Completion Date sent . . . . . . : 08/21/03 Time sent . . . . . . : 09:54:47 Message . . . . : Job 042390/USR01/LSTMNTH ended on 08/21/03 at 09:54:47; 1 seconds used; end code 50 ... 40 - The job ended before becoming active. 50 - The job ended while the job was active. ... Not exactly sure what "The job ended while the job was active" means. Aren't all jobs considered active until they are ended? The 1 second used is about correct for this job _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
