I found it amazing that IBM can replace a disk drive without any downtime, (and often has on our site), but replacing a 1/4" tape drive required bringing the system down. Gee, for some of you riding the fence on upgrading from 1/4" to external 3590's or whatever that might be a business argument for the external drive.
