Before you go yelling at me for where I put this, let me explain. This past weekend we upgrade to V5R2 from V5R1, which went very smoothly. Now, today, one of our java applications decided to cause problems. The java application is using JTOpen the latest version (according to the developer). Nothing else but the OS upgrade happened this weekend. Now what happens on a simple SQL across 3 files with a max of 4000 records is causing the application to go very slow. The job QZDASOINIT is the culprit and it sucks up every available resource just to run and it seems to never seems to quit. If I kill the job it seems to improve the speed of the application which is very weird. Any ideas? Did SQL change from 5.1 to 5.2?
