This is very nice but it still does not extract hidden parameters. The only thing I know that shows everything is DMPOBJ, but we'd need to know the template. I suppose one could reverse engineer it - I'd try if I had time.

Kirk -

There is a utility you can download that will create an XML document in the
IFS with the command definition information for any command.  The resulting
XML document can be opened in a browser (which will render it so that is is
easy to read) and you can see all of the pertinent information about all
parameters, including their position numbers.

Would this be helpful to you?  I'm enclosing a copy of the XML document that
I created for the WRKUSRJOB command.

Using the sample code I downloaded, I created a crude program that created
this document.  If you like, I'll send you my source code...or you get it
yourself on the www.as400pro.com/TipsAPI2.htm web site.
