Jan, two things may affect the date format in RPG: 1. The keyword DATFMT in the H-Spec 2. A data area named RPGLEHSPEC in *LIBL with defaults 3. A data area named DFTLEHSPEC in QRPGLE with defaults Check this sources. Our Model 170 there is no problem with. It's only problem in RPG. The Modell 270 is showing the date with DDMMYYYY but our Modell 170 is showing YYYYMMDD. We wan't to have both our as/400 with YYYMMDD I have look at the sysval *DATTIM but they are the same in both as/400. Here are some info from our programmer.
