One thing that I have not seen anyone suggest yet is Independent Disk Pools
(Iasp by an old name) Each pool is an address space by itself, and can be
secured very tightly. Because each disk pool is independent, the same
library name can exist in multiple pools. Each pool has its own IFS and
can store network storage descriptions as well. There are a couple of
recovery issues and security issues to be considered, but in the overall
scheme of things, and IDP is easy to set up and manage.
