Hi all,
 this is my observation.
This works fine with commands they don't have *outfile option(Eg. DSPLIBL).
But when we use commands which has got *outfile option(Eg DSPFD). Runqry on
the PF shows
Junk values.........

Regards
Manoj

Yes, this works, but with a few limitations. IIRC, this only works with
program described output, and definitely not with ipds or afp output.

John,

Can you Override the Printer file to a Database file?... That too with
OVRDBF..?
Sounds strange to me...

Murali:

You can redirect the output to a database file using the 'Overide with
Database File' (OVRDBF) command.

Create an output file:
CRTPF FILE(OUTPUT133) RCDLEN(133) LVLCHK(*NO)
(Needs 1 more character than the Print File. Ignore the first character in
the file.)

Overide the Print File to the Database File:
OVRDBF FILE(QPIJSMST) TOFILE(MYLIB/OUTPUT133)

Issue the Command to generate the output:
DSPJOBJS OUTPUT(*PRINT)

Delete the overide:
DLTOVR FILE(QPIJSMST)

Good luck!

John
