What exactly do you want them to check for?

WRKPRB <-- will catch just about any system-level error like disk
failures
DSPMSG QSYSOPR <-- app program errors
If you're feeling masochistic, have them scan QHST: DSPLOG <F4>

If you're having them check to see that the system (subsystems,
printers, TCP, etc.) is up, one option is to have your startup CL
monitor for successful completions and issue an 'All OK' message at the
end. SNDMSG to *SYSOPR and have them check QSYSOPR msgq. Or send the
message in an email.

I've no idea on your BRMS question.

Subject: How do your operators check an AS/400? Checking BRMS?

HI,

Are there other commands you would run besides:
I.
1. Netstat
2. Wrklind
3. Wrksbs
4. Wrksyssts

II. BRMS
1. How would you check to see if a system is out of
sync or running low on tapes?

Many Thanks,
Phil
