Hi Mike,
I suspect that your OpsNav client may not have the most uptodate
service pack. Visit the iSeries Navigator website and click on 'Service',
then follow your instincts.

The service packs are quite large, be prepared for a long download (circa
60MB).

have you looked at the Application Administration option?
Right-click on the system-connection-name. If you exclude a user from a
function they will not see it, even if it installed on their client. Not
installing the function on the client exposes you to a clever user finding
the CD or folders on a server and re-installing the missing components.

In my playing with CAE user setup, I noticed you can restrict a user or
group from seeing sections of information in Ops Nav. My question is why in
the world would a standard user with no rights want to (or rather have to)
see under "Configuration and Service" "Fixes Inventory" and "Collection
Services"? In my playing I noticed that there is no option to remove those
two options. Can someone either give me an explanation of why it is needed
or instruct me on how to remove it?
I know we don't have to install that piece, but I am also working through
worse-case scenario. We have remote locations, that may or may not follow
our installation instructions to the letter.
