I have implemented 3 IXS's and 1 IXA within the last 6 months. With 3 of them I am getting some 'questions' or FUD from vendors whose products run on these machines. Personally, I would have never let on that their product was running on an IXA and an IXS but my boss couldn't contain his enthusiasm. My problem is that we have 'performance' questions on a couple of these boxes and of course the vendors are making comments about potential issues with the IX's devices. The machines exceed their specs in all cases (1.0Ghz with 2Gig of memory requirement is on a 1.6Ghz 4 Gig machine etc.) These are implemented on machines that have a high amount of disk arms also. So, my question is: 1.) In general what has been the experience with other users of these machines 2.) Is there some sort of metric program that we could run on these machines that might generate relative performance numbers? Michael Crump Saint-Gobain Containers 1509 S.
