Stirring up controversy and discussion  (just like we're doing now.)  
 
Controversy is a good tool of publicity.   If the stories were fully
documented and proven then it'd just be a ho-hum story.  This way there can
be lots of sparring and questioning.
 
 
By the way, the other day Joe spoke of certain points made in various posts
as being FUD.  We should all remember that FUD is the malicious spreading of
 Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt.   No one here is in the FUD business.  The
posts we make, even if incorrect, are in the category of discussion, not FUD

I never understood the "legends" bit either. The first one was about the
AS/400 behind a wall, and I know the person who was the IBM CE in the story.
IBM seems like they want the story to sound made up, rather than a true
event. More likely, the lawyers won't let them publish anything without a
sworn deposition.
