Tom, RTVSYSINF saves system values in a user space named QIZASYSVAL. In a pinch, these can be viewed via DMPOBJ. A fairly simple CLP could run through the space and pass each entry directly to QCAPCMD or QCMDEXC for recovery. With a PARM() to select a particular value, the CLP could reset just that one.
