Right out of the box (sort of), I ran a simple inquiry
through the webfacing tool, with the only problem
being the UTF-8 Unicode setting in my servers (Test
Server & Websphere). The WDSCi 'Help' walked me
through that problem.

Using WDSCi, I was able see the results in a simple
inquiry in just a few minutes. The most difficult
part is deploying the application to the iSeries. But
the WDSCi will let you generate a War file, & the
websphere Install wizard will walk you through the
install process.

If you have software support, I would suggest getting
IBM on the horn and have them walk you through the
process.
