Find the hex value in EBCDIC for these characters in your code page and use the x'nn' representation in RPG. Say the "½" character is EBCDIC 5F - you'd put in x'5F' where you normally put a string.

Hello All,

Is there a way to search for "½" and "¼" characters in a string using RPG or CL?
I need to convert these special characters so that the XML parser can understand.

How can I create a search string in RPG or CL to contain "½" OR "¼" characters?

Thanks in advance.
