Paul,

It wouldn't surprise me! Until recently (I've heard it's been fixed, but
haven't verified it yet), all those good things like ODBC and FTP didn't
know about languages either. Quite a challenge inputting your password to
FTP on a French PC with a French keyboard when the password letters are not
displayed, and having to guess where the letters would be if it was a US
keyboard!!
