Ed, Joe, How about the EDTF command? -mark > From: Darbonne, Ed > > I just leased an iSeries model 825 machine. It is a pure server > but I have run into a real snag. Ed, you can always sign on to the machine and run commands from the command line. What is it that you need to do that requires an editor? Do you want to write CL programs and call them, or just execute a list of CL commands? If all you want to do is execute several commands, you can do this via SBMDBJOB. You can edit a command file via UPDDTA, or use the free tool WRKDBF, which would be equivalent to editing a batch file with a text editor. You can then use SBMDBJOB to run the commands.
