Not on a UPS. Not too dirty a site either, plus as we speak I have someone on-site to try to figure what is going on, and we've corrupted 6 diskettes just trying to get them back up (this is on two different 5394's that we have swapped out from the original)...perplexed... -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Lewis [mailto:clewis@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, June 10, 2003 7:46 AM To: 'Midrange Systems Technical Discussion' Subject: RE: IBM 5394 Controllers corrupting diskettes Hi Chuck, (1)Is this control unit on a UPS or some form of power protection ? (2)How "dirty"/dusty is the area it is in ? Chuck - dealing with a similar issue on a Perle 494e EVEN as we "speak" -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+clewis=iquest.net@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+clewis=iquest.net@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Graves, Chuck Sent: Monday, June 09, 2003 3:33 PM To: midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: IBM 5394 Controllers corrupting diskettes I have 35+ locations using IBM 5394 controllers via frame-relay. One(1) of these sites keeps corrupting the diskettes for the unit. I've tried multiple controllers, and it happens on each one. Has anyone ever run across this?
