Re: Problem using telnet from AS/400 to AS/400

Hi Albert,

Besides the Telnet Timemark value that someone already mentioned to you, you
should check the configuration of the firewall as well. Some firewall
software does not recognize EBCDIC data within Telnet packets (i.e. TN3270,
TN3270E, TN5250, TN5250E protocols) by default.

Usually these firewall products have a setting you can enable, which allows
them to perceive EBCDIC data within Telnet packets, so that the firewall
will not terminate your connection prematurely.
