I did it while on V5R1 well before upgrading to V5R2. The 'why' is because the literature said it would improve performance and be more efficient. The result is that I didn't really notice any difference, which most likely means ther _was_ an improvement. (You know how that goes. Increase speed by 50% and no one notices. Cut speed by .0001% and the phone rings off the hook. <g>)
