Subject: SNDDST - put paramater field in the message.
I am trying to setup a process to change passwords on the iSeries.
and have a file with USER_ID, PASSWORD, EMAIL on the system.
then I have a cl which scans through the user_id and does a chgusrprf
using the USER_ID and PASSWORD as parameters.
then I want to do a SNDDST using the email parameter
but it doesn't seem to let me do add a parameter as part of the message.
START_LOOP: RCVF
MONMSG MSGID(CPF0864) EXEC(GOTO CMDLBL(EOF))
CHKOBJ OBJ(&USER_ID) OBJTYPE(*USRPRF)
MONMSG MSGID(CPF0000) EXEC(GOTO CMDLBL(EOF))
CHGUSRPRF USRPRF(&USER_ID) PASSWORD(&PASSWORD)
SNDDST TYPE(*LMSG) TOINTNET((&EMAIL))
DSTD('PASSWORD CHANGE')
LONGMSG('''AS REQUESTED....YOUR PASSWORD
HAS BEEN CHANGED TO '' &PASSWORD')
GOTO START_LOOP
has anyone done this before ?
Jim
