Common (on web site) have stated they will not charge the $100 fee to local or commuters. They also said the deal with hotel is they get charged (which ultimately means we pay more for future conferences) if hotel has less than # contracted. And do not book hotel thru an agent, must be thru Common Housing Bureau! To me - it all works out the same - we either pay more for conference (and stay whereever) or do it this way. (and i have no employer to pay my way). This is a "common" practice in the hotel/convention industry (much of which is running on iSeries!). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leif Svalgaard" <leif@xxxxxxxx> To: "Midrange Systems Technical Discussion" <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2003 11:59 AM Subject: Re: COMMON - new "non-conference hotel registration rate" > From: <rob@xxxxxxxxx> > > > Just in case you are thinking of attending COMMON and staying in other > > hotels COMMON is now charging $100 extra to register if you stay at a non > > conference hotel.
