Is the semi-documented QSPGETF program a wrapper for the spool file apis? I've been fooling with archiving spool files to tape with formatting and other properties more or less intact. I was planning on using the apis to write to a user space, write the contents to a file I could back up to tape and use the create and put apis to restore. Looks like QSPGETF and its PUT counterpart do what I want. I realize IBM says they're unsupported. Am I better off wrapping the apis myself? From a cursory look, the data from each approach look the same.
