Chris, I used to have to scramble to stop people from logging in if the system had hung during the nightly processing. My way was to CHGSBSD QINTER MAXACT(1) and make sure that I was the one ! Now, we have a separate sbs for the IT dept and it stays up except during SAVSYS. Otherwise, a jobscde ends QINTER every night and the last step of the nightly processing is to bring it back up. So, if I come in and the system has hung up, I don't have to worry about chasing users out so I can finish. HTH, Cyndi B.
