Is the share setup as a read only share? I you checking share authority or NTFS authority. We define our shares as public full and use NTFS authority, which is much more secure and backup with the files. Share authorities are not backup with the files and cannot be restored. Chris -----Original Message----- From: Kern, Mary T We reformatted our NT server today (oh joy). Now my CL program that copies files to it fails with Message . . . . : Not authorized to object. Cause . . . . . : Authority is not sufficient to access object /QNTC/dcimg0/common/coldtxt/checks/CHK0001.txt The job is run as QPGMR. I can drill down using WRKLNK when signed on as QPGMR to exactly the place it needs to go. I even went so far as to give QGMR full authority to the share and each folder in the share ... but ... it doesn't work. I changed the program to use my profile - which is the same on the 400 and the NT server. I can't run it either ... and I am the administrator on the NT box.
