First of all, get the numbers for an upgrade and the maintenance cost of the upgraded system. You are currently running a 730, perhaps you can upgrade to a 820, possibility dropping a software tier. Now with a new configuration, 3 yr lease on hardware and maintenance cost in hand, Compare with 3yr maintenance on existing hardware. If you do drop a software tier, make sure you show the software maintenance savings. It can almost pay for the hardware upgrade. Maintenance for the old hardware will be higher that the new stuff. If you do not need a large boost in CPW, dropping to a 820 or 825 can save on software maintenance and future software purchases. You really can get more for your money and when factoring in hardware and software maintenance cost savings, well it will cost you less than you think. Christopher K.
