QQRYDEGREE

We are looking at changing the sysval QQRYDEGREE  to *OPTIMIZE .  We have
DB2 Symmetric Multiprocessing on one system.  We have multiple systems with
as many as 12 processors.

Seems to me I looked at this system value a couple of years ago and there
was a down side or it didn't help us because of the type of processing we
do.  I am drawing a blank, any help?

I looked in the archives, didn't find anything.
