Reports assuming incorrect attributes after colliding with window sdocuments on HP printers

Problem:
Attributes change in the middle of printing.  For example:

1. Release a 20 page landscape AS/400 report from hold to a HP *LAN printer.
2. While report is printing, print an Outlook e-mail.
3. Ten pages of report print.
4. Eleventh page is portrait instead of landscape and font is huge.
5. E-mail prints correctly.
6. Pages 12 -20 print LANDSCAPE but font is still to big.

Problem:
One page spooled file with overlay prints overlay on one page and text on
another on HP printer.

Are these problems AS/400, Novell or firmware related?   The problems occur
only sporadically.
