There are a couple tools that will let you see a data PF. Operations Navigator will allow this, under the Databases heading. This, however, assumes SQL access, so it knows nothing about multiple members.

If you have an ODBC driver on your PC, you can use Excel or MS Access. With Excel, you can make changes, then upload the file (requires Client Access Data Transfer). With Access, I think that changes you make are sent up, if you open the files as a link. I'm not sure, it's been awhile.

Another product is Surveyor, by Linoma Software - free for single non-corporate use. It's like DFU/DBU/EasyView on steroids.

BTW, if, in OpsNav, you go through File Systems, integrated File System, etc., to get to a member, the restrictions are the same as with NetServer.

Good luck

Vern,

I think you hit it right on the head, that is my problem, I am trying to
look at a PF created through DDS. In fact, the only reason I set this up
is to do that, so I guess I will end up either copying into a flat file
or a stream file. FYI, tried to open with both Notepad and EditPlus and
UltraEdit.

Thanks!
