Good point Ray.  The savings comes from being able to write all the
emulators with a single set of development tools, and targeted to a single
hardware/software platform.  Stretch the imagination and envision OS/400 as
a Java application...  Seems bizarre and impossible but technology is a
wonderful thing.  I've learnt that the improbable seems to happen with some
regularity in this business.
