Sorry, Joe. I just consulted my notes, and I didn't take any (so it must not have been too hard). I don't get to do this very often, but I think it was roughly: 0) Backup might be nice 1) PWRDWNSYS & physically add the new disk drive 2) IPL to DST 3) Add new disk unit to ASP (disk format occurs) 4) IPL to OS/400 and STRASPBAL or DSKBAL as appropriate for your VRM. I think there is an extra step or two if you're running RAID, but on a 150, I doubt if that is an issue. Anybody please chime in if this is not correct. -Marty ------------------------------ date: Tue, 1 Apr 2003 16:59:28 -0600 from: "Joe Pluta" <joepluta@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> subject: RE: More questions on old boxes and new drives <ROFL> Oh yeah, performance concerns on a model 150... that's a hoot. Now, I'm no hardware expert - is there any information anywhere on how to do this, or do you think somebody with a little normal skill can figure out where to plug the thing in? Joe
