Not bad since IBM says those drive are discontinued and I can't get them 
thru normal channels

Got a voice mail from IBM today.  Went something like
Rob, since you're enrolled in pm/400 and your system sends us status we 
see that you are over 90% used on system serial number such-and-such. Just 

today we have a big sale on (whatever the model number is for 8gb) 8gb 
disk drives.

I thought that was interesting marketing.

That particular machine is a development machine and we're hoping to limp 
by for a year.  (We have no slots left for new dasd).  And 8gb disk drives 

don't thrill me.
