Folks:

Has anyone played around with digitally signing objects on the 400?

One of our customers has asked us to investigate doing this so they can put our public key on the system and set the VFYOBJRST system value (not 100% sure that's the right system value though) to only allow signed objects to be restored.

Questions I have are ...

1. Is the "Cryptographic Access Provider" a free LPP or does it cost?
2. Can a object that has been signed on a V5R1 system be restored on a V4R5 system? What about V5R2?
