Some people complain because there is no printed Memo to Users. The upgrade manual points you to a web site. Actually the Memo to users for V5R2 was drastically rewritten in 2003 to include a bunch of new information. Paper is obsolete the second it is printed. And, judging by some of the really upset people, "why didn't IBM tell me that?!" comments here lately I can see why they want to keep the Memo to Users more fluid. You may find the memo to users at: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/iseries/v5r2/ic2924/info/rzahgmtu.htm Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Normally I wouldn't bother, unless the Upgrade Guide, Memo to Users, or some other such documentation pushed me. V4R5 and V5R1 are old I can't remember if V4R5 is the one that required some preparation ptf's when going to the next release.
