Do a CHGIPLA and press F4.  There is a parameter to start TCP/IP at IPL
time.  You may also want to check your system startup program (system
value=QSTRUPPGM), to see if TCP/IP is started there.  I believe the CHGIPLA
was added around V4R5, so it is possible if you system was in use before
then that someone may have modified the startup program to do a STRTCP.

Hello All,

        This weekend we are going to complete the migration from our old
AS/400 model 170 (v4.r5) to our new iSeries model 270 (v5.r1).  Everything
is done, what we want to do is stop TCP from automatically starting when the
system is IPL'd.  Can someone explain how this can be done or point us in
the right direction.
