And please note that my article is not anti-ICT.  It's exploring the idea of
whether or not the technologies (I mention both ICT and SWT), and perhaps
more importantly the technologists, are ready for dealing with the public.

It's one thing to make a hot new technology in the nice, safe world of
internal systems or even tools, but open it up to the harsh glare of
consumer scrutiny, and that's a whole different animal.  And since this
software is not the finished product we as OS/400 users usually see, it's
even more important to get the developers ready for some less than glowing
comments.  I don't think that was done, and I don't think some of the
developers understand the difference between criticism and castigation.
