Bonnie, I think you've identified the likely culprit. If nothing else is 
different, the hub is most likely the problem. Hubs are slow, compared to 
switches. Verify that it is a hub and not a switch. And see what 
transmission speed is in effect at the hub. 10 or 100 Ethernet?

Are there timeout settings on the printers that could be increased?
