Any web page that can be served from a non-iSeries box can be served from an iSeries box (with the possible exception of ASP pages). That being said, if you can create a nice form with buttons and lines in a browser, you can host it from the iSeries. The data can be posted to the iSeries to either an RPG CGI program or a Java servlet - these are the same basic options as on any other machine, with the exception that most Unix-based machines will use Perl or Python rather than RPG, while Windows boxes will tend towards Visual Basic. That's part of the reason I like servlets - those are written in Java on any of the above platforms. Anyway, WebSphere provides all of the tools you need, from a web page designer to a web application server. WebSphere Studio Development Client has tools for web page design, JSP design, servlet design, everything you need. And the new WebSphere Express is a very reasonably priced web server. Or, you could use any tools of your choice to write your own JSPs and servlets and use Tomcat, which will run on the iSeries just fine. Joe
