This may not be the most useful tip that I ever got, but it's definately in the top 5: The iSeries has over 500 "Command Menus" that can be displayed by entering "GO CMDxxx" on a command line where xxx is the command verb you are interested in, i.e to list all of the Configuration Commands you would enter GO CMDCFG, to to list all of the Print Commands you would enter GO CMDPRT. GO CMD* will get you the whole list. So when you need a special purpose command for a CL you can quickly scan these menus and usually find one that will do what you need.
