So, if CPW is up by 20%, you'd also up main storage by 20% and ROUND UP to the next valid configuration. But, you also need to understand whether you've always followed this guideline and how much extra you may have purchased the last time you upgraded. And all the other performance caveats apply. As far as needing more main store due to implementing ESS, I'd be very surprised. There is nothing inherent in the ESS and its attach to iSeries that requires more main storage.
