Just for fun, what happens if you change a a few "J"s to any random other edit codes? Possibly even a edit word. Still the same result? --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@xxxxxxxxxxxx --------------------------------------------------------- -------Original Message------- From: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Date: Saturday, February 22, 2003 22:37:02 To: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: prtf edit codes not working? Have a DDS print file V4R5. RPGIV pgm. Type "U" (uniform width). I've tried numerous variations on prtf compiler & override parms. The printer does not do this - I can look at the spool file and see the "J" edit code not working. I can copy the above line into a new print file, compile and it works!! Almost like something else in dds causing problem. Other similar print lines, all font 223. Also have "BOX" and "LINE" keywords in prtf. No overlays, no page segments. I'm lost on this - can I even call support on a V4r5 machine. (i'm praying it's something stupid i've done). Have loaded some AFP ptfs recently, but "think" it was still working afterward. jim
