It also did not work with Agent as my default news application - there are things about that app that make it not work. I changed to Outlook just for this. Port seems to be fine.

IBM usually uses Notes internally. A lot of us do not.

news groups, I get the ibmcommunitytoolsfeedback group (plus a few control
groups).  Double clicking on the group above, I get the error "411 No such
news group".

Anyone else report this problem?  Any clues how to get that feedback group
to appear as valid?

Is there a specific port I need to be looking at/through/for?
