IBM doing it is no different than MS doing it.

Nothing would have changed if they ran it all on an iSeries and last minute
they (voting application vendor) "only applied a PTF to the system".

It would be the same exact story.

The point they were raising was along the lines of using an open source OS
and an open source application so there is no issue of not being able to
look at the source code to verify.
